Holiday Club

Outside term time, Towerbank After School Club runs a holiday club during the October, February, Easter and Summer breaks (where possible during the Covid-19 pandemic).

We are delighted to be back with an exciting programme of fun for Summer 2021, from 28th June to 13th August.

Summer Holiday Club Programme 2021

Running from 8:45am – 5:45pm each day the holiday club provides a variety of activities including trips to the local parks and the beach, loads of messy, arty, outdoor fun as well as various activities further afield such as the cinema, Five Sisters Zoo, Perth Active Kids and Dalkeith Country park (Covid-19 restrictions and availability dependent).

Snacks: Each day of Summer Club we will provide two snacks. In the morning a choice of cereals and toast, in the afternoon a selection of healthy snacks similar to our After School Club snacks. Please provide a packed lunch for your child. On an all day trip please send extra snacks and a water bottle. Please note that TASC is a nut free environment!

Clothing: It’s always a good idea during Holiday Club to pack spare clothes and make sure children are appropriately dressed for the day’s activities.  A change of clothes is needed on beach days, water fun days and for many other messy play activities! If it is a trip day please provide clothing appropriate for a range of Scottish summer weather!

Transport: On some days we plan to travel on public transport. The children will require a mask for this so we would appreciate it if you could provide one that your child is comfortable wearing. We will hold some spare disposable masks in case and plenty of hand sanitiser/wipes. We have booked coaches for the trips further afield and will of course abide by all appropriate covid-related protocols when using their service.

Staffing/ratios: Our staff will be rotated in “bubble” groups, in order to keep everyone safe and prevent full closure of the Summer Club should there be a positive covid case. These continuing restrictions mean that we cannot mix and match our staffing and add extra staff into a busy day. We will therefore be capping the numbers of children per session according to safe ratios. Popular days may fill up quickly so I would advise you to book a space as soon as you can.

Booking and Payment: Contact Elaine on for booking forms or download here Summer Holiday Club Booking Form plus Registration Form and Permissions Form

Your child’s place will be booked in, following the return of your forms to Elaine and you will be invoiced for payment at the end of May to fully confirm the place.

Places will go on a first come, first served basis BUT you will be added to a waiting list if the day is fully booked, in case of cancellations.

Fees are frozen at last year’s prices of £29 per day.

There are a few provisos attached to this programme:

  1. We are still awaiting our Lettings confirmation, though we have been informed by the school that there should be no issues. We felt we needed to move forward regardless at this stage to allow time for you to make your plans. If our Let is refused we will form a new plan and let you know as soon as possible.
  2. Many of the activities planned are still Covid dependent. We have booked trips and activities based on current guidelines and projected re-openings. If things change, we may need to make changes to the programme.
  3. Some activities are weather dependent and we may swap activities around if the weather is particularly bad. The “Big Trips” will go ahead regardless (covid dependent).
We hope you and your child(ren) are as excited about the Summer Programme as we are, we can’t wait!
